Andre Romelle Young, otherwise known as Dr Dre came into this world on February 18, 1965. His musical career started in the mid 1980s when he hooked up with a group who called themselves the World Class Wrecking Cru. The California established group at some point parted ways and Dr Dre went on to sign up N.W.A with fellow rappers Eazy E and Ice Cube.
N.W.A started to be among the first groups to begin with a fresh genre of rap music. Gangsta rap used very revealing lyrics which were frequently restricted from radio stations and many stores rejected to sell the controversial cds.
Dr Dre left the group and Eazy E's record label. He started to become a solo artist that has a completely new form of gangsta rap. His unique style was labeled as West Coast G-funk. The heavy, slow bass tempo became a popular around the country.
The relaxing G-funk rhythm continues to be included in rap music throughout the past 15 years. The lyrics were thought to be explicit by many but were presented with such casual style, several overlooked the vulgarity.
Dr Dre went on to produce Snoop Dogg's first solo album, Doggystyle, introduced under the Death Row label. In 1995, Dr Dre had a falling out with Death Row label owner Suge Knight and left the label. He started his very own label, Aftermath Entertainment in 1996.
The label fought for several years before signing a mysterious kid from Detroit, Eminem. Eminem aided launch the label to success. Dr Dre introduced his 2nd solo album in 1999, which attained number two on the Billboard chart and has been qualified platinum six periods.
Right now Dr Dre remains an important part of the music industry. He is a successful producer and business man. He has appeared in lots of movies too. His newest solo album, Detox is expected to be released sometime this coming year.
