We'll Never Die Alone
Juggalos Will Carry On
Swing Our Hatchets If We Must
Each and Everyone Of Us
Everyone has their own definition of the term "homie", and ICP homies are no exception. ICP homies are fellow members of the family underground that chug Faygo with you, that chase 'lettes with you, and that of course have been to every Gathering of the Juggalos with you. ICP homies may not have a closer bond than homies of any other type, but the uniqueness of their bond is unquestionable. ICP homies even have their own Juggalo chant. Does your group of homies have a chant? Chances are slim.
Let's take a closer look at the Juggalo chant known by all ICP homies and other family underground members. The Juggalo chant opens with the line, "We'll Never Die Alone." That in and of itself is the most powerful line in the entire Juggalo chant. One reason the family underground is called the family underground is because each and every one of its members has a difficult time fitting in above ground.
That is to say, ICP homies don't fit in that well to mainstream society. In fact, one of the many reasons ICP homies find themselves fitting in so well in the family underground is because of this shared characteristic. If there was a way to remind them that they're not alone and that they will no longer ever have to worry about being alone, then the Juggalo chant is it.
Line number 2 of the Juggalo chant: "Juggalos Will Carry On." This of course isn't of as much interest to ICP homies because they're more concerned with living in the present and enjoying their time with the family underground than they are worrying about the legacy of either the family underground or their inner circle of ICP homies.
However, this line would never rub any Juggalo the wrong way. After all, is there anything wrong with the Juggalo legacy carrying on in full without you?
Line number 3 of the Juggalo chant: "Swing Our Hatchets If We Must." This, to me, is the line of the Juggalo chant that resonates with most ICP homies and members of the family underground. Remember, everyone in the family underground ended up there because they felt they didn't fit in with mainstream culture.
Every ICP homie will tell you they have an "us against the world" mentality, with in the Juggalo chant, translates to this specific line. Like in any culture, anthems exist to reinforce pride amongst members, and this line in the Juggalo chant is certainly no different, as stirs up positive feelings among every ICP homie that sings it.
Finally, line number 4 of the Juggalo chant: "Each and Every One Of Us." Similarly to line number two of the Juggalo chant, this line doesn't do much new to the chant overall because it exists only to unite and round out the poem. And, as any ICP homie or other member of the family underground will tell you, it does so quite nicely!
